The Spirit of Dragon and Tiger design brings a dragon and tiger together in a dramatic composition across a broad 300mm deba. Hand engraving and multi-colour plating highlight the dragon’s scales and the tiger’s striped coat. A kasumi-finished White 3 steel blade, paired with a magnolia handle and buffalo-horn ferrule, provides a generous setting for the detailed scene.

Michiko Kubota's Engraving

Japanese master engraver Michiko Kubota transforms knife blades into individual works of art through wabori, traditional Japanese metal engraving. Working entirely by hand with a hammer and chisels, she creates intricate designs inspired by nature and Japanese culture. Each engraved surface catches the light differently, revealing the depth, texture, and detail of her craftsmanship.
