The Bushido design follows the long blade with samurai figures and sweeping movement lines, captured through hand engraving and single-colour plating. The mirror-finished front of the 330mm Sakimaru Yanagiba provides a reflective setting for the artwork. A Ginsan steel blade and magnolia handle with buffalo-horn ferrule complete the piece, supplied with a lacquered saya and retaining pin.

Michiko Kubota's Engraving

Japanese master engraver Michiko Kubota transforms knife blades into individual works of art through wabori, traditional Japanese metal engraving.
